Overview
We are seeking a skilled Electrician to join our team, supporting various construction and industrial projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems, including both low and high voltage applications, with experience reading schematics and blueprints. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, from commercial buildings to industrial facilities, ensuring safety and compliance with NEC standards. The position requires hands-on expertise with power tools, hand tools, and testing equipment like ohmmeters and ammeters. Candidates should be comfortable working in construction site environments and possess a solid understanding of electrical codes and safety protocols.
Duties
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to execute projects accurately
- Use hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, ammeters, and other testing devices to troubleshoot electrical issues
- Ensure all work complies with NEC standards and local electrical codes
- Perform wiring for low voltage and high voltage systems safely and efficiently
- Collaborate with construction teams to coordinate electrical installations within project timelines
- Conduct inspections to identify potential hazards or code violations
- Maintain detailed documentation of work performed for compliance and future reference
- Assist in the setup of electrical frameworks including framing carpentry as needed on construction sites
Requirements
- Proven experience as an electrician in industrial or commercial environments
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, schematics, blueprints, NEC standards, and low/high voltage wiring
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, ammeters, and other diagnostic equipment
- Construction site experience preferred with the ability to work safely in dynamic environments
- Ability to read technical drawings accurately and interpret schematics effectively
- Knowledge of frame carpentry is a plus for certain installation tasks
- Valid electrician license or certification as required by local regulations is preferred
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced settings
Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
