Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician to join our team, responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across our facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial and commercial electrical work, with experience reading schematics and working with both low and high voltage systems. This role requires a detail-oriented professional capable of working on renovation projects, construction sites, and routine maintenance to ensure safety and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment such as ohmmeters.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately perform installations and repairs.
- Maintain and upgrade electrical systems in accordance with NEC standards and safety protocols.
- Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to troubleshoot automation issues.
- Perform low voltage and high voltage electrical work on industrial and commercial sites.
- Assist with renovation projects, construction site work, and electrical upgrades.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues before they result in system failures.
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations, including proper handling of NEC guidelines.
- Use hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers, as well as power tools for installation and repair tasks.
- Collaborate with other trades such as frame carpentry or maintenance person services during complex projects.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an industrial or commercial electrician with a solid understanding of electrical systems.
- Experience working on construction sites or renovation projects is highly desirable.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Proficiency in working with low voltage and high voltage systems following NEC standards.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation troubleshooting.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other testing equipment safely and effectively.
- Knowledge of construction safety protocols and electrical codes.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues quickly.
- Relevant certifications or licenses related to electrical work are preferred but not mandatory. This position offers an opportunity for a dedicated electrician to contribute to maintaining the safety and efficiency of our facilities through expert electrical maintenance and repair work.
Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
